I've done this before, but I just read it again in Chip's old old OLD journal and thought it looked like fun [and a good procrastination device to distract me from the mighty perils of re-designing my website]. I haven't done one of these quizzes in like two years - I realise nobody will read this but what the hell! If you're interested in one of my favourite topics, music, then go ahead... make my day.

"Toxicity" - System of a Down.

2.What song makes you sad?
Man, anything by Damien Rice... or "Bosnia" by the Cranberries. Or "Kenji" by Fort Minor. Or "Seize the Day" by Avenged Sevenfold. Or...

3. What is the most annoying song in the world?
You're making me choose?? Um... um... all Veronicas songs. *shoots self*

4. Your all time favorite band?
Honestly, these change all the time! But I guess that would probably be Stray Cats. WHO I SAW LIVE!

5. Who is your newly discovered artist?
Fort Minor - turns out there IS one hip-hop artist I actually like. I've also been getting into Lily Allen... there goes what's left of my cred.

6. Best female voice?
Dolores O'Riordan from the Cranberries. She's a legend, and the Irish accent may have a bit to do with it...

7. Best male voice?
So many... I love the male voice. I love M Shadows' voice, but only when he's not doing that nasal thing he seems to be so fond of these days. I also think the vocalist from De Jah Groove has an oddly sexy voice...

8. Music types you find yourself listening to most?
Lately, reggae. Normally it's metal, rockabilly, rock, punk, swing and psychobilly, among others.

9. What do you listen to, to hype you up?
Haha, Sonata Arctica or DragonForce. POWER METAAAAL!

10. What do you listen to, to calm down?
What I'm listening to right now - Mad Caddies ["Keep It Going" album only], De Jah Groove or Poetikool Justice. Some nice funky chilled reggae type stuff. Or The Cranberries.

11. Last gig/concert you went to?
Wow, this was a surprisingly long time ago... how embarrassing. God, I think it was Stray Cats... AGES ago.

12. Band you find yourself listening to the most right now.
Fort Minor, Green Day, De Jah Groove and Lily Allen... haha. Go me.

13. Most hated band?
I don't really hate bands anymore. I find that anyone willing to pick up an instrument and form a band is worthy of some merit.

14. Song that makes you think?
There are heaps, dude! At the moment, "Right Now" by Fort Minor.

15. Band that you think the world should love as much as you do?
De Jah Groove. Terribly, terribly underrated.

16. Coolest music video?
*shrugs* I don't see many of these... I saw one recently by Robots In Disguise with Noel Fielding in it. Didn't like the music, but the video was pretty cool. Ahhh, Noel... *sigh*

17. Music video with the most babe watch?
The aforementioned. Haha. And "Seize the Day" by Avenged Sevenfold. *vacant smile*

18. What do you play/would you play in the bedroom to spice things up?
I'm going to go with Chip and say TOOL, but I really have no idea...

19. Can you play a musical instrument?
Three - bass guitar, flute and piano. Or could, once upon a time - I haven't had any time to concentrate on music the past three years so have probably forgotten everything.

20. Ever been in a mosh pit?
I have, but not by choice and not for very long - I don't much fancy getting an elbow to the temple so although I like watching them, I avoid them like the plague.

21. Are you in a band?
Nope.

22 Ever dated a musician?
Yep.

23. Do you wish yourself that you were a musician?
Sometimes. I do love playing music. But I can't be everything, I guess...

24. Best chick band you know of?
Blargh! I dislike chick bands intensely. I'll say The Cranberries even though they're not a chick band, merely female-fronted - that's as close as you'll get from me.

25. Last song that you heard on the radio/cd...etc...?
"Plodding Along" - The Dead Pets.

26. What do you think of Classical music?
I quite like it - I studied it for four years and therefore learned to appreciate it.

27. What do you think of Country music?
Not a fan, unless it's leaning more in the rockabilly direction. Or bluebilly!

28. What do you think of Death metal?
Not sure exactly what falls in that category, but I really love a lot of metal so I guess I'll say I'm into it, yes.

29. Last BIG band that you saw live?
Stray Cats. Doesn't get much bigger than that, dammit!

30. Are you a groupie?
No way. Although people tend to assume you are if you go out with a guy in a band... bleh.

31. Do you listen to music in foreign languages?
Yeah. I realised recently that I really like it when I don't understand what songs are about - then the lyrics become part of the music and I concentrate on the song as a whole.

32. What famous musician would you like to f***!?
Haha! Crudely put, but... M Shadows or Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold? Haha. Or even Andy from The Living End.

33. Worst concert moment?
Being forced to stand through awful support acts like The Presets or Kisschasey.

34. Funny concert moment?
I don't know anymore... it was all so long ago! I remember hilarity ensuing during most Zombie Ghost Train shows...

35. Sad concert moment?
End of the Stray Cats' set, firstly because it was over and secondly, I know I'll never get to see them live again.

36. Best local act you can think of?
The Hoodoo Voodoo Dolls! Hells yeah!

37. If you were a musical instrument what would you be?
I'm not sure... probably a bass guitar.

38. Do you listen to the radio?
Pretty much never, except when making super short trips in my car.

39. Do you watch music TV?
Not really. When Mum puts it on occasionally in the mornings.

40. Do you follow the music charts, like the top 40?
Don't insult me.

41. Have you ever met any famous musicians?
A fair few, yeah. Although I don't know how "famous" they'd be considered.

42. Are any of your friends/family/etc. musicians?
A lot of my friends are, yeah. Plus I went to a special-interest music high school.

43. Song that best describes your feelings right now?
Too much thinking!

44. Song that describes your life?
"I'm Alive" by Disturbed. Yeah!

45. Do you know the names of all the band members that you listen to?
Er... I listen to hundreds of bands, how am I supposed to remember all the band members?? I do tend to know my favourites though.

46. Does a musician's physical attractiveness play a role in the music that you listen to?
Nah, not really. Although if a great band has some hot members, it certainly doesn't count against them...

49. What famous musician do you want to marry?
Marry? I want to marry Noel Fielding or Jensen Ackles, but they're not musicians... or Azza T from Zombie Ghost Train, but he's not particularly famous.

50. Favourite movie sound track?
The "Walk the Line" soundtrack, probably.

51. Any musician pet peeves?
I don't actually know what the hell you're on about. The skanky ones peeve me off, if that's what you mean... but they're rarely actually musicians.

52. What do your parents listen to?
Mum's obsessed with Leonard Cohen, and she has reasonable taste. My dad listens to AURAL HELL. Mostly jazz and all its most awful and tuneless variations.

53. What are you listening to right NOW?
"Take It Out On Me" by Bullet For My Valentine.

54. Do you wear band T-shirts?
I have a wardrobe FULL of them, loads and loads. I don't really wear band shirts anymore though, as I don't like the way most of them fit me.

55. What do you think of people who do?
Band shirts are hot on guys!

60. What music sub-culture do you feel like you belong to?
I don't know... my own? I span them all. Don't try to label me, man!

61. What song is stuck in your head right now?
Haha, I've had "Fuck You" by Lily Allen going round the past few days, not a good one to bust out singing in public. That or a crimp from The Mighty Boosh.

62. Do you sing in the shower?
Nooooo...

63. If so, what? If not, why not?
Because my family would hear me and think I'd gone mental.

64. Would you rather marry a musician or be one yourself?
Marry one! Haha. Although take it from me, they're usually at least a little insane...

65. How important is your partners taste in music to you?
I'm afraid it's quite important to me, because music is one of my biggest passions. If we can't talk music, we'll have very little to talk about...
